Our Story
Fox’s Dinky Little Farm, Inc. was born out of a deep love for animals and a passionate desire to support our local community. When we (Wayne and Paula) moved onto our 5 acre property in 2021, we had a vision that animals would fill the space. Paula, an Intervention Specialist for almost 30 years, mentioned a couple of goats and small flock of chickens. Our first 3 goats and 6 chickens were welcomed in early 2022. What started as a private passion quickly grew into something much bigger as we witnessed firsthand the incredible, calming impact that animals have on human hearts.
Recognizing a widespread need for accessible emotional healing and educational spaces in Lorain County, we officially established ourselves as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2025. Today, our dinky farm serves as a peaceful haven where individuals of all ages can slow down, connect with nature, and experience the profound benefits of the human-animal bond.
What Makes Us Unique
Our farm is built on the belief that every living creature deserves a safe space to thrive. We proudly care for a diverse family of animals:
Rescued Animals: Providing a compassionate sanctuary, second chances, and medical rehabilitation to animals in need of a forever home.
Resident & Program Animals: Hand-raised and gently socialized members of our herd who excel at welcoming the public and engaging in therapeutic, face-to-face community work.
Together, our animals serve as patient teachers and natural healers for our neighbors, local schools, and families.
